Round timber technology
For round timber or roundwood manipulation, we provide complete roundwood sorting systems, roundwood conveyors, and clamping carriages in cabin-controlled design. Root reducers, metal detectors, milling head debarking, as well as disposal and cutting systems complement the product range accordingly.
The systems are characterized by a very robust, durable, and maintenance-friendly construction, enabling long-term operation of the facilities
Log sorting plants
With our extensive experience and numerous realized roundwood sorting systems, we can offer customer-tailored, well-thought-out complete solutions. In addition to roundwood conveyors, our production program includes root reducers, metal detectors, milling head debarking, and disposal and cutting systems. Complete systems, including debarking and measurement solutions, can be provided.
For log conveyors, proven solutions are available depending on the application and customer specifications. These are complemented by optional equipment such as roundwood turners. The very robust, well-thought-out construction allows for excellent operational characteristics.
Log cutting plants
Alongside conventional sword saw cutting systems, we provide circular saw cutting systems and integrate them into existing installations. The constructions are robust and designed for easy maintenance.
for log frame saws
With the log carriage, everything started at Mayrhofer: by now, more than 500 log carriages have already been delivered. In addition to the conventional ride-along clamping carriage, we offer remotely controlled clamping carriages that are unparalleled in functionality and ease of operation.
Log end reducers
For several decades, we have been manufacturing root reducers characterized by high performance and reliability. Depending on customer requirements, various solutions for system integration are available.
Milling head debarkers
The milling head debarking machine was specially developed for hardwood applications or low throughputs, combining the processing steps of root reduction and debarking. The development focused particularly on robust, durable construction and high performance. The drive power of the milling shaft is 37 kW and is available in various lengths. A fully automatic program is available for both processing steps, and loading can be done manually or mechanized, with an option for log passage for full integration into the system.
